A major fake Bachelor of Electro-Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery (BEMS) degree racket has been uncovered in Surat, Gujarat, leading to the arrest of 13 individuals, including 10 fake doctors. The police revealed that the accused were operating under the false pretense of offering legitimate medical services.

Police Arrest 13, Including Fake Doctors
The police discovered allopathic and homeopathic medicines, injections, syrup bottles, and fraudulent certificates at the “clinics” operated by the accused. Three of the arrested individuals were found to be selling fake BEMS degrees for ₹70,000. The main suspects, Rasesh Gujarathi from Surat and BK Rawat from Ahmedabad, along with their associate Irfan Saiyed, were identified as the ones behind the illegal degree racket.

Racket Operated Under Fake Medical Board
According to a police statement, the operation was run by Gujarathi and Rawat under the guise of the ‘Board of Electro Homeopathic Medicine, Ahmedabad’, deceiving the public with unauthorized medical practices.

This bust highlights the growing issue of fraudulent medical degrees in India, compromising public trust and health. The police are continuing their investigations into the extent of the operation and other potential accomplices.
